IPSO/SIOP Annual Congress
21-23 October 2014
This year's annual congress, which we share with SIOP,the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, will be held in Toronto, Canada. Click on the picture to go directly to the Congress website, or try the conferences if you want to find more details which may be of particular interest to surgeons
If you are coming to Toronto please don't miss the pre-meeting Education Day on Tuesday 21 October, and the IPSO Annual Dinner on the evening of Thursday 23 October.
Following the Toronto Congress there will be a one-day symposium, followed by a dinner, in Memphis, Tennessee, to celebrate the forthcoming retirement of one of our founder members and Past-Presidents, Dr Bhaskar Rao. For those attending the Congress Memphis should be a straightforward stop-off on the way home. Those who know Dr Rao, especially those who have benefitted from his wisdom and experience over the years, this is a special occasion to be attended even if unable to get to Toronto. Click on the picture to find out more details, including how to register and the symposium programme.
The IPSO secretariat are always trying to ensure that their database is up-to-date, and in particular that they have active e-mail addresses for all members. All members should have had e-mail requests for payment of dues in 2014, and so if you are a member but have not heard anything please get in touch as soon as possible.
In September 2013 IPSO joined SIOP, our sister organisation, for a very successful annual congress in Hong Kong, and now it is time for IPSO members to make arrangements so that they can attend the 2014 annual congress, which will be held in Toronto, Canada, in October. Further information can be found on the conferences page of this website, or on the congress pages of the SIOP website. These pages will be updated as further information becomes available.
The IPSO surgical oncology course has been held at a number international venues around the world, and is gaining a great reputation. In 2013 IPSO paediatric surgical oncology courses were held at the annual EUPSA meeting in Leipzig, and during the WOFAPS meeting in Berlin. In 2014 there was a course at the EUPSA meeting in Dublin. If you want further information, or if you are considering inviting the faculty to run a course in your country, contact information can be found on the courses link.
